OUR MISSION
One Health Stroke Awareness Inc. is a non-profit organization, established, August, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts, whose mission is to provide awareness, education, and prevention of death related to hypertension, heart attack and stroke.
WHAT WE DO
01. Assist with Free blood pressure medication sponsorships for individuals who can’t afford their medications and or going through the insurance process
05. Giving of an annual Nursing School Scholarship Award to a selected Nursing School Student.
OUR PROGRAMS
Our organization of volunteer-liason’s help assist individuals with the navigation process of various medication cost assistance programs (if Copay assist is not an option). We provide periodic, free blood pressure screening clinics by volunteer healthcare professionals within the community. We also host periodic fundraising events in efforts to raise money to help assist with our mission goals of providing free services to individuals and families in need.
Althea Williams Scholarship
In 2018, One Health Stroke established the Althea Williams Nursing Student Scholarship Award. In 2019, two nursing students received the Althea Williams Nursing Student Scholarship Award, which helped them to defray the cost of nursing school.

GOAL:
Our main goal is to help reduce the mortality rate from Hypertension, Heart-Attack and Stroke within vulnerable populations by providing medication cost assistance via our
H.E.A.R.T medication assistance program for individuals who are prescribed antiarrhythmic, anti-cholesterol and blood pressure lowering medications.

Solutions:
We believe the solution to some of these “heart disease related deaths” is to first recognize them and then use our voices by speaking up on the issues that affect vulnerable populations and also use our skills for detection by hosting free blood pressure screening clinics at various locations within the community as a prevention.
In addition, our organization will award a Nursing School Scholarship award to a qualified nursing school students annually, every month of November.
